July 2024 Content & Platform Update
Welcome to the OffSec July 2024 content update! Find the full scoop inside.
We’re excited to bring you OffSec’s July roundup! You can expect a brand new Learning Path and a couple of Learner Dashboard updates to make your learning process even more seamless.
Our Vulnerability Management Foudations learning path equips teams with the skills to not only identify and manage vulnerabilities but also to understand their impact on the business. Learners acquire the skills to make informed decisions about risk mitigation, prioritize resources effectively, and build a security program that aligns with your organization’s goals.
Some of the Learning Modules include:
- Using Vulnerability Frameworks
- Using Vulnerability Databases
- Introduction to Vulnerability Scanning
This Learning Path is designed for:
- Security analysts, engineers, penetration testers, and consultants looking to develop or enhance their vulnerability management expertise
- System administrators, network engineers, and IT operations personnel responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of their IT infrastructure
- Risk managers and analysts seeking to understand the role of vulnerabilities in overall risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
We’ve recently changed the platform to include new “Categories”: Attack, Defend, and Build under the Explore page on the Learning Library. This is an exciting feature as it will allow you to more easily navigate to the content you’ve not yet engaged with that is relevant to you.
As a reminder, we recently launched Custom Learning Paths, exclusively available for Learn Enterprise customers. This new feature empowers enterprise administrators to tailor the learning journey specifically for their learners.
Administrators can create custom paths by selecting any combination of courses, learning paths, or modules. This level of customization ensures that learning is aligned with the unique demands and goals of each enterprise, enhancing the relevance and impact of training.
We are also excited to bring another feature to our platform — Bookmarks. This feature enables learners to mark specific content to easily return to it later for continued learning or review. You can use bookmarks to tag particular points of interest within a course, such as an important concept or a specific minute in a video tutorial that you want to revisit. Bookmarked content will appear under My Learning -> Saved. Stay tuned for the launch of this feature!
