We’re kicking off the new year by closing out December with a packed platform update. Even as the year wrapped up, we shipped new features designed to make skills, progress, and engagement more visible across the OffSec platform.

Private Events

Private Events are now available in Learn Enterprise, giving you a new way to turn hands-on learning into a shared, competitive team experience.

With Private Events, you can create time-bound, organization-only events using real OffSec labs, designed to bring teams together around focused technical challenges and measurable outcomes.

What you can do with Private Events:

• Create a branded event with your own name, banner, and logo
• Set the event duration and participant limits
• Select which labs are included and control how and when content unlocks
• Add PWN bonuses to introduce strategy and competition
• Allow participants to join and complete labs at any point during the event window

What your team gets:

• A private leaderboard that tracks progress and rankings throughout the event
• Hands-on practice in a focused, goal-driven format
• Flexibility to participate on their own schedule

After the event ends, you’ll receive a post-event report summarizing participation, activity, and engagement across your learners.

If you’d like help setting up a Private Event or shaping one around your team’s objectives, reach out to your OffSec contact to get started.

Job Role Coverage

The new Job Role Coverage widget is now live in the Admin Dashboard, giving you a visual snapshot of how your team’s hands-on skills line up with specific job roles.

Inside the widget, you’ll see a spider chart that maps completed lab activity to role-specific competencies. At a glance, it shows where your team is strong, where coverage is thin, and which areas need attention.

What you’ll see in the Job Role Coverage widget:

• A role-based spider chart that highlights strengths and gaps across key skill areas
• Coverage across major attack vectors, based on hands-on lab completion
• A clear view of depth versus exposure, not just participation

Why it’s useful:

• Instantly see whether skills align with real job requirements
• Identify gaps early, before they become operational risk
• Shift from tracking activity to understanding capability
• Make more focused training decisions that drive meaningful skill coverage

The Job Role Coverage widget turns learning data into a clear, visual view of role readiness so you know where your team stands and where to invest next.

Skills Passport

Skills Passport is now available, giving learners a dedicated place to see their hands-on progress, skill growth, and momentum over time, all in one view.

The Skills Passport brings together lab activity, captured flags, and role-based progress so learners can clearly understand how their work on the platform translates into real skill development.

What learners will see in Skills Passport:

• A snapshot of total labs completed and flags captured from hands-on labs
• Progress bars showing how their completed labs map to specific job roles
• A 30-day activity timeline highlighting labs completed, flags captured, and skills practiced
• An Achievements tab with a history of earned certifications, pins, and badges

Why this matters:

• Learners finally have a single place to track real, hands-on progress
• Skill development is clearly connected to job roles, not just completed content
• Recent activity and momentum are visible, making it easier to stay engaged and plan what’s next

This first iteration of Skills Passport lays the groundwork for deeper insight and motivation, with future enhancements expanding how learners track progress and engage with their learning over time.
